In addition to completing four new platform investments and assisting several of our portfolio companies to complete corporate acquisitions thus far in 2018, the team at Capital Partners has expanded to focus on future growth.
Taylor Perry joins Capital Partners as Senior Associate, Morgan Murray as Associate, and Hongbo Chen and Berat Rifati each join as Fund Controllers. They will help Capital Partners evaluate and execute new investments, add value to our existing holdings including add-on acquisitions, as well as to effectively administer our portfolio of tax flow-through investments and distribute cash to limited partners quarterly.
TAYLOR PERRY, SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Taylor Perry has a five-year career in private equity and investment banking. Prior to joining Capital Partners, he was an investment professional at American Industrial Partners and an Analyst at investment bank Houlihan Lokey. Taylor received an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
MORGAN MURRAY, ASSOCIATE
Morgan Murray joins the Capital Partners investment team as Associate following two years with Hancock Capital Management where she was an analyst within its junior debt and equity co-investment platforms. Morgan received her B.A. from the University of Virginia.
HONGBO CHEN, FUND CONTROLLER
Ms. Chen has a 13-year career in accounting in private equity including Senior Manager with Sanne Group and Accounting Manager at Commonfund Capital, where her responsibilities included fund-level accounting and reporting and oversight of the accounting and operational diligence. Hongbo received a B.A. from Nan Kai University in Tianjin, China and an M.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma, in addition to M.B.A. study at New York University. She is also a CPA candidate, having passed all four parts of the CPA exam.
BERAT RIFATI, FUND CONTROLLER
Prior to joining Capital Partners, Berat’s 7-year career included rolls as Senior Fund Accountant with Atlas Holdings LLC and Senior Associate at KPMG in its alternative investments tax practice, where he provided tax-consulting and compliance services to private equity, real estate, and manufacturing clients.
