Heartwood Partners®, based in Norwalk, CT, is pleased to announce that Jason Philips has joined the firm as Senior Vice President of Portfolio Operations and Saer Brown has joined as an Associate.
Mr. Philips’s unique background as both a hands-on business operator and an operations consultant enables strong collaboration with portfolio company teams to drive and accelerate value creation. Prior to joining Heartwood Partners, Mr. Phillips served as the Chief Operating Officer at Archway, a premium provider of operating services for Fortune 500 clients. He also served as the Vice President of Operations at Johnson Brothers, a leading wholesaler of alcohol. Prior to Johnson Brothers, Mr. Phillips was a Director at AlixPartners, a management consulting firm specializing in delivering sustainable operating improvements for clients. Earlier in his career, he served as the Vice President of Technology for Beiersdorf North America. Mr. Phillips received his BA from the University of Minnesota and his MBA from Columbia University.
As an Associate, Mr. Brown is involved in executing our new investments and the management of our existing investment portfolio of thirteen companies. Prior to joining Heartwood Partners, Mr. Brown was an Associate with EC Mergers & Acquisitions, an investment bank focused on industrial technology, in New York, NY. He began his career as an Analyst at Stephens, Inc. in Little Rock, AR. Mr. Brown has a BA in Economics and History and a minor in Business Finance from Sewanee: The University of the South.
